Couples Coaching:
Lisa Merlo-Booth centers her
relationship coaching with couples largely on
Terrence Real’s Relational Empowerment Model. This
is a fast moving, highly effective, non-traditional
model for working with couples that produces
results. It is a skills-based model that is focused
more on results than insights.
Depending on the level of need, couples coaching is
either done over the phone three times a month for
an hour each phone session or in person in larger
time blocks. Couples interested in enhancing the
relationship they already have or needing to
fine-tune areas such as communication, balance and
reaching joint goals, often choose the phone
coaching. Couples significantly struggling in their
relationship are more suited for intensive couples
coaching.
Intensive couples coaching sessions are done in
three-hour time blocks every other week initially
and then reduce to 2 hours every other week once
progress has begun to be evident. Full day intensive
sessions are also available for those couples who
are significantly struggling in their relationship
and live out of the area or for those who want to
learn many skills in a relatively short period of
time.
If you are struggling in your romantic relationships
or just want to bring your relationship to new
heights, this is the relationship coaching model for
you.
